In partnership with Luneng Real Estate Group, Hard Rock Hotels announced plans for the Hard Rock Dalian, an oceanfront property consisting of 200 guestrooms and suites, expected to open in 2018. Located in China’s northeastern Liaoning province, the hotel is the brand’s third in mainland China—two other projects are currently underway in Shenzhen and Haikou.
“With the Chinese travel industry quickly changing as leisure demand grows, we feel the music-centric programming at Hard Rock Hotels will resonate well with Chinese travelers who visit Dalian each year,” says Leong Wy Joon, senior vice president of hotel development, Asia and India, at Hard Rock International.
Bordering the Yellow Sea, Dalian is a major tourist destination, drawing five million visitors a year. The Hard Rock Hotel Dalian will offer an array of amenities for travelers including both a casual and fine dining restaurant, a nightclub, and a variety of Hard Rock signature brand offerings including Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club and Body Rock fitness center.
To introduce the project, Hard Rock Hotels and Luneng Real Estate group will create the Hard Rock Hotels Preview Center, an experiential space located directly next to the hotel’s building site. Set to open this spring, the center will showcase music memorabilia from the Hard Rock’s collection of 80,000 items, Rock Spa demonstrations, and Fender guitar stations to allow guests to preview the brand’s Sound of Your Stay music amenity program.
