The latest Canopy by Hilton hotel has debuted within the largest manmade park in Hangzhou, China. The Canopy by Hilton Hangzhou Jinsha Lake serves as a modern urban oasis amid its lush parkland backdrop. Crafted by New York studio Wilson Associates, the new property blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor environments, establishing a deep connection between guests and nature.
Traditional Chinese gardens serve as the inspiration behind the arrival experience in the lobby, which comprises an open layout with numerous intimate enclaves for socializing or solitude. Furthermore, bleacher-style seating and a verdurous green wall is situated beneath wood-slat pitched ceilings that call to mind Chinese farmhouses.
The centerpiece of each of the 196 guestrooms is the bed, which are enveloped by wood-screen panels. Contemporary furniture in light and dark finishes offset the soft color palette of cream and warm sand tones. Ranging from 893 to 1,237 square feet, each of the six suites overlook Jinsha Lake, and locally curated artwork further instills a sense of place in each accommodation.
