Hoshino Resorts has launched Omo, a new hotel brand that will debut two properties later this spring with the Omo7 Asahikawa in Hokkaido and Omo5 Tokyo Otsuka. Asao Tokoro of design firm Tokolo will lead the design. A third property will open near Shin-Imamiya Station in Osaka at a later date.
Omo is the company’s fourth brand, joining a lineup that includes Hoshinoya, Risonare, and Kai. The urban concept will cater to business travelers and travelers who frequent medium-range economy hotels, and will aim to provide a more localized, experience-driven stay. Omo properties will be characterized by casual but stylish interiors and a close proximity to local amenities.
