The Hotel Lungarno in Florence, part of the Ferragamo family’s Lungarno Collection, has reopened following a six-month overhaul from Italian interior designer Michele Bonan. Situated along the banks of the Arno River, the redesigned hotel includes 10 new family rooms and suites, a new lobby lounge, and refreshed F&B and art programs.
The upgraded arrival experience is punctuated with a chic, nautical palette of blue that complements framed views of the Ponte Vecchio. The lounge-like setting is also equipped with new technology. The refurbished Picteau Lounge evokes an airy, living room-like aesthetic, complete with fresh white, sea blue, and nautical accents. The Michelin-starred Borgo San Jacopo has been revitalized and features a new private dining room and 1,000-bottle wine cellar.
Dressed in soothing white and blue hues and elegant furnishings, updated rooms include 10 specficially designed for families. Upgrades have also allowed for two floors to be privatized for VIP visitors. The first level features five guestrooms and suites separate from the rest of the hotel, including the Duplex Cocteau suite, two studios, and the new Duplex Family suite. The fifth floor is also available for privacy.
Hotel Lungarno is also home to one of the largest privately owned 20th-century art collections, with works from nearly 900 artists installed across the property. The artwork is positioned to adhere to one of five different and immersive narrative paths.
