InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its fifth InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property in France.
InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel, France joins InterContinental Paris – Le Grand, InterContinental Paris – Avenue Marceau, InterContinental Marseille – Hotel Dieu, InterContinental Carlton Cannes. InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu is set to open in 2018.
The historic property has been converted from the former Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa—a building that dates back to 1776—and renovated by Paris-based architect and designer Jacques Garcia.
To operate under a management agreement with Financière Immobilière Bordelaise, the 130-room hotel sits on Bordeaux’s central square, Place de la Comédie, near a variety of retail and F&B outlets.
Amenities include seven meeting rooms, an indoor pool (the Bain de Léa), a fitness center, spa and hammam facilities, as well as a F&B program headed by the Gordon Ramsay Group, including restaurants such as Le Pressoir D’Argent.
