InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Delta Holding have signed InterContinental Ljubljana. Set to open in 2017, the hotel will be built by Delta Holding and operate under a management agreement with IHG.
Located in the heart of Ljubljana with views of the Ljubljanica river, the property is nearby shopping and business district Dunajska Cesta, and the city’s main train station. InterContinental Ljubljana will also be close to historical tourist attractions Presernov Square and the Triple Bridge.
The 165-room hotel will feature a presidential suite, two banquet halls accommodating 500 guests each, and six boardrooms. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, spa, and fitness center. An all-day dining restaurant with an outdoor terrace boasting panoramic views of Ljubljana will be located on the 21st floor.
The InterContinental Ljubljana was IHG’s fourth European hotel signing in 2015. With 182 properties open worldwide, there are currently 30 InterContinental Hotels & Resorts properties in Europe and five in the pipeline.
