Developed and designed by London-based Grove Developments in partnership with London-based RTKL UK and Glasgow-based G1 Architects, the InterContinental London – The O2 is a 453-room hotel located on the Greenwich Peninsula in London. It is the second London property in the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
Offering views of the River Thames and Canary Wharf—and the London skyline beyond—the hotel features 59 suites along with five destination-inspired restaurants and bars, including the Peninsula Restaurant and Eighteen, a rooftop skybar. Along with a spa, the property also boasts a 33,300-square-foot ballroom, 17,000 square feet of pre-function space, and 19 meeting rooms.
“This opening continues the strong momentum we have behind the InterContinental brand, having recently opened InterContinental Estoril and InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel,” says Angela Brav, chief executive of IHG Europe.
The InterContinental London – The O2 will operate a franchise agreement with Meridian Hotel Operations Limited and will be managed by a division of the Arora Group. InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has 30 InterContinental Hotels in Europe and a further five in development.
