Paris-based interior designer Jacques Garcia has crafted the palatial Villa Clara retreat in Rome, for the Italian luxury villa travel brand Homebase Abroad. Conceived as a symbol of the Roman opulence in the Italian capital, the 13,450-square-foot palazzo accommodates up to eight guests across its four bedrooms.
Situated upon the Villa Borghese in the Parioli neighborhood, the boutique concept conveys a personality defined by Art Deco elements such as the fan-shaped layouts across all five floors. Distinctive geometric shapes and spaces abound along with zoological motifs, while a palette of natural materials complement varied modern and vintage areas. Garcia further enhanced the design taste of the palazzo by including striking visual details, from amethyst paneling to gilded accents. On the ground floor of is the spa of the villa, which features a roman bath, swimming pool, hammam, fitness center, and a massage room. Other amenities include a 360-degree rooftop terrace, accessible by both elevator and a spiral, gold leaf staircase.
