The Kimpton Palomar San Diego has announced plans to close its onsite gastropub lounge Saltbox Dining & Drinks to make way for new Mexican street food concept Curadero. Slated to launch in early 2017, the venue will be crafted by Los Angeles-based Studio Unltd.
The opening will also lead to the revamp of the hotel’s Arriba Room, a 1,800-square-foot meeting and event space located on the mezzanine above the restaurant. The new design will include private dining areas, group gaming from shuffleboard to vintage arcade options, lounge furniture, and a taco window.
