The Knickerbocker Hotel has announced the launch of three new dining venues opening in partnership with chef Charlie Palmer.
The hotel’s signature full-service restaurant and bar, Charlie Palmer at the Knick, was first to open this month and also includes Jake’s @ the Knick, a ground-level espresso bar. St. Cloud, opening this spring, will be a 7,500-square-foot expansive rooftop bar and terrace.
Located on the fourth floor of the Knickerbocker, Charlie Palmer at The Knick seats up to 100 with additional seating for up to 40 in its adjoining and bar and lounge. Designer Gabellini Sheppard chose romantic textures such as chainmail drapes and a Carrara marble bar top and finishes to set the mood. In addition, the Salon event space accommodates up to 250 guests for corresponding events.
JAKE’s @ The Knick pays homage to John Jacob “Jakey” Astor VI, the son of John Jacob Astor IV, who founded the Knickerbocker in 1906. The rooftop bar, St. Cloud, will feature a signature cigar lounge from tobacconist Nat Sherman, and the Waterford Crystal Lounge, complete with Waterford bar and stemware, and custom furniture by British designer Jo Sampson.
