A 17th century congressional church in Cape Town has been transformed at the hand of hoteliers Johan Du Plessis and Jan Fourie, as Labotessa, the maiden lifestyle outpost of the duo, created as an harmonious bridge between the Old World elegance and progressive innovation of the city.
One of the seven suites Labotessa offers is the three-bedroom Governor suite spanning 3,230 square feet located two floors atop the hotel, as an entirely new addition to the property. Equipped with a private plunge pool, full- kitchen, 10-person dining table, as well as two lounge areas, the luxe accommodation also features a modern fireplace flanked by a padded leather window seat. Populated with the artworks of local artists, each of the other six suites are crafted with a palette of petrol blues, warm taupe, and burnt orange, while Parisian rugs complement the French oak floors. All the bathrooms of the boutique property are wrapped in blue subway tiles and calcatta marble.
