Lark Hotels will open the lodge-inspired Field Guide hotel next month in Stowe, Vermont.
The 30-room boutique hotel, located on the site of the former Ye Olde England Inn, will be the company’s first non-coastal property and 12th overall location.
Conceived by Boston-based interior designer Rachel Reider, accommodations will include 17 standard guestrooms, 10 suites, and three private cottages. All will feature a sunset-inspired palette of green, gold, purple, gray, and orange hues. In reference to the hotel’s natural setting, furnishings will include live-edge wooden headboards and silver leaf tree stump end tables. While the bathroom walls will be clad in reclaimed wood, room wallcoverings will mimic birch wood. Cardboard and papier mâché animal heads, old trail guides, antlers, and vintage Vermont pieces reference the natural surroundings.
Amenities will include a seasonal heated pool, a year-round hot tub, a spa treatment room, meeting and event spaces, and a lounge with games and a fireplace. A yet-to-be-named restaurant and bar will open onsite in winter 2016.
