Lark Hotels will unveil three new boutique properties in Martha’ Vineyard, Massachusetts, later this month. Summercamp, the Sydney, and the Christopher will link the island to the company’s existing Nantucket properties.
“We’re proud of the true sense of place that we’ve created at each of our boutique hotels,” says Lark Hotels CEO Rob Blood. “It’s been a pleasure to get to know the local landscape and culture on the Vineyard, and we hope that’s evident in the service, amenities, and playful accents at the Sydney, the Christopher and Summercamp.”
The largest Lark location to date, the 95-room Summercamp overlooks the Oak Bluffs harbor in what was the Wesley Hotel. The design, by Lark partner Rachel Reider, includes nostalgic nods to camp and cabin life, including an AstroTurf-floored rec room and a wraparound porch with rocking chairs.
The Sydney
The Christopher
A former Water Street Victorian home in Edgartown, the Sydney will offer a tranquil retreat, with neutral and citrus tones in each of its eight guestrooms, while sister property the Christopher will welcome guests of the Sydney to enjoy its BYOB mixer bar. Adorned with Caribbean-inspired décor from Boston-based firm Annsley Interiors, the feeling of island life is perpetuated at the Christopher with blue, purple, and coral tones across the 15 guestrooms.
