Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has joined with property owner Red-Co to open a new Le Méridien branded hotel in Batumi, the Republic of Georgia.
The 110-room Le Méridien Batumi will be a new-build hotel located within the city’s tallest structure, Batumi Tower—a mixed-use development designed by Georgia-based Hausart Project that is also home to a casino, carousel, and unbranded residences.
All interiors will be designed by Tbilisi, Georgia-based firm Rooms. Like other Le Méridien locations, the hotel will feature the communal Le Méridien Hub lobby concept, while suites will offer views of the Black Sea and feature contemporary design including spacious work areas.
Amenities will include two restaurants, a pool, and a fitness center.
Upon opening in 2018, the hotel will join fellow Starwood properties Sheraton Batumi and Sheraton Metechi Palace in the Republic of Georgia.
