Leeu Collection, a recently launched luxury hotel brand founded by Analjit Singh, is preparing to launch two new boutique properties in South Africa—Leeu House and Leeu Estates.
Leeu House will open this December in the village of Franschhoek, while the 5-Star Leeu Estates, located nearby on a 170-acre vineyard, will open in 2016.
The residentially inspired Leeu House will be an intimate 12-room property, with six of the accommodations featuring adjoining private gardens, terrace courtyards, or balconies. Amenities will include a complimentary tasting of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines, bicycle rentals, and a 50-foot heated outdoor pool.
The 21-room Leeu Estates will open within a 19th century Manor House and will feature the Leeu Spa, a winery, landscaped gardens, vineyards, and four cottages. Located onsite, the Living Room will provide a complimentary bar stocked with wines and other locally sourced libations, while the Wine Studio will conduct tastings of property varietals. The Reading Room will offer guests a library with games and afternoon tea.
Designed by Spanish architect Tomeu Esteva of Esteva i Esteva Arquitectura, the Leeu Spa will be an Asian-inspired wellness facility that includes a 50-foot infinity pool, fitness center, and yoga.
In addition to the these two new properties, Leeu Collection recently acquired the 21-room boutique Le Quartier Français hotel, also in Franschhoek, which will join the company portfolio next month.
