Slated to reopen in August, the Franklin hotel in London’s Knightsbridge neighborhood will offer a warm, residential atmosphere highlighting its internationally influenced design.
Housed in a row of upscale Victorian townhouses in Egerton Gardens, the 5-Star boutique hotel is framed in London plane trees and features a dramatic redesign by Anouska Hempel. Inspired by her travels, Hempel’s interiors merge timeless Italian quality with a whimsical charm captured in details like mirrored furniture, Italian velvet and silk, and ikats imported from Istanbul.
The hotel’s 35 guestrooms consist of eight different configurations, including the 680-square-foot presidential suite. Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo will spearhead an upscale onsite eatery, which will overlook the garden alongside the Franklin’s champagne and martini bar, while a wellbeing floor will house a hammam, treatment room, and gym.
