Manchester Center, Vermont-based design and architecture firm the McBride Company has released the first renderings of Florida’s upcoming Margaritaville Resort Orlando, the latest endeavor from the brand inspired by the music of Jimmy Buffett. Developers Encore Capital Management recently broke ground on the $750 million resort, which spans 320 acres.
The McBride Company is responsible for the brand design of the resort as a whole, as well as the design and interior architecture of the 175-room Margaritaville hotel, which will have “a casual sophistication while still delivering guests with the essence of escapism and elements of the fun loving Margaritaville brand,” according to CEO Pat McBride.
The waterfront property will offer 1,000 Margaritaville-themed vacation homes and 300 timeshare units. The resort will also boast 30,000 square feet of function space, 200,000 square feet of retail space, and a dining, and entertainment district. In addition to a 12-acre water park, a three-acre freshwater lagoon will feature the only natural sand beaches in central Florida. Guests can also enjoy the property’s wellness center and miles of forest trails.
The first phase of the project, including the hotel, is slated for completion by the end of 2017.
