The Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort & Spa in Florida has debuted a new design following a $6.8 million renovation. The hotel’s new look seamlessly marries indoor and outdoor environments with beachfront-inspired textures and palettes from both local firm REG Architects and Orlando-based studio LUP Interiors.
The oval-shaped great room makes a statement in the lobby with wood-paneled columns and social hubs for intimate gatherings equipped with curved sofas, lounge chairs, and glass-topped tables, while light furnishings feature upholstery tones calling to mind sand and sea. Carpeting recalls the flow of ocean waves and naturally leads the eye to the renovated patio’s monumental fountain, which is finished in opalescent mosaic tiles.
Natural daylight floods both the great room and the bar and lounge through floor-to-ceiling windows. The onsite restaurant 3800 Ocean shifts the ambiance after sunset, casting the bar in dim under-lighting. Newly upholstered tufted banquettes continue the ocean motif with a palette of deep blue with nail head trim. Hardwood flooring with a stripe effect of light and dark woods recalling a vintage yacht deck spans the restaurant and lounge.
A sense of luxury has been amplified across the resort’s 193 guestrooms and suites. Thick, earth-toned carpets, clean white walls, and soft upholstered furniture embody the natural coastal energy of the hotel, while throw pillows depict turtle patterns, a nod to the island’s high turtle population. Two-bedroom suites set beds against bold photo murals of driftwood emerging from the sea, with the bright turquoise water in the otherwise black and white images carried through the throw pillows.
Across 3,600 square feet of meeting and event space, the Marriott Singer Island houses the Flagler boardroom, the Singer, Mizner, and MacArthur meetings rooms, and the 1,631-square-foot Colonnade ballroom.
