The Michaelis Boyd-designed RYSE Hotel in Seoul has debuted as the latest addition to Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Located in the city’s Hongdae neighborhood, the property is the second in Seoul to open under the Autograph banner.
The hotel’s vibrant and convivial interiors feature bare concrete and industrial brass metal as well as glossy pink floors. Modern art installations are integrated into the design along with an outdoor mural that spans the lobby, which hosts pop-up exhibitions. Nearly 15 suites are included among the hotel’s 272 guestrooms, each room highlighting prominent artwork. Select Artist suites are customized by creatives ranging from photographer Laurent Segretier and collage artist Charles Munka. The 2,300-square-foot Executive Producer suite on the 20th floor is appointed with handpicked artwork and a graphic wall crafted by Korean graphic designer Na Kim.
The casual gourmet concept Long Chim is featured among the onsite F&B options alongside Tartine Bakery & Café and the Side Note Club. Amenities include a fitness center, 5,380 square feet of retail space, and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
