Groundbreaking has been announced for the four-story NOUN Hotel in Norman, Oklahoma. The 92-room boutique concept—which will feature two luxurious 900-square-foot suites—is set to debut adjacent to the University of Oklahoma campus in summer 2022.
Designed by GH2 Architects, the hotel will evoke a classic, timeless aesthetic complementary to the local architectural vernacular. Soft, neutral tones and clean, modern lines, accented by upscale lighting, will characterize the interiors.
“Our architecture and interior design team loves to work on sophisticated, boutique hotels like the NOUN Hotel. We worked hand-in-hand with the NOUN team to design a hotel that bridges the university and Norman, and is refined and modern,” says GH2 architect and principal Cara Hall. “The NOUN Hotel’s design incorporates modern lines and refined finishes as an expression of the hotel’s engaging and guest-focused atmosphere.”
A spacious lobby with 15-foot-high ceilings will welcome guests upon arrival, while a swanky 3,000-square-foot restaurant and bar with a plaza area will frame views of University Boulevard. On the second floor, a 3,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor cocktail bar will also channel a speakeasy-style flair. Numerous meeting and event spaces, including a 150-person banquet room and 25-seat boardroom, will be housed onsite as well.
