Provenance Hotels is preparing to open the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery this month in New Orleans.
The 167-room hotel is housed in a historic 1854-built warehouse situated in the city’s Warehouse Arts District and within walking distance of the French Quarter. Designed by New York-based Parts and Labor Design, the property features a modern aesthetic juxtaposed with rustic elements, such as exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. Art and literary works by students from the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) visual arts program are included in every room. An impending lobby gallery space will showcase additional art curated by NOCCA.
Caribbean-inspired Compère Lapin, a new restaurant headed by Top Chef contestant Nina Compton, will open at the hotel in June.
