Florida’s Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate has announced plans for a $40 million expansion and renovation.
The 12-year-old luxury golf resort and spa will add 10,000 square feet of pool deck and recreational space, which is already spread across 15 acres. Upgrades will include a full-service outdoor bar, terrace seating, 16 private poolside cabanas, a children’s pool, water slides, and Orlando’s only resort wave pool.
A ballroom expansion will yield 81,000-square-foot event lawn and conference center space, while onsite eatery Trevi’s restaurant will receive a new outdoor garden terrace and bar, and both of the resort’s Greg Norman-design golf courses will get facelifts.
A new 93-guestroom villa building will be added to the resort, bringing the total room count to 813, plus 49 two- and three-bedroom luxury villas. The three-story building will house 24 deluxe and premium balcony rooms, 50 kitchenette-equipped studio suites, and up to 23 convertible four-bedroom suites.
Groundbreaking for the expansion will kick off next spring.
