HKS Architects and New York-based Jeffrey Beers International have completed a multimillion-dollar renovation at One&Only Ocean Club Bahamas, a resort on Paradise Island.
The project included a redesign for all accommodations within the historic Hartford Wing, as well as the addition of a 125-foot-long infinity pool, which overlooks the beach and is adjacent to the newly added Ocean Pool Grill.
Once the private estate of Huntington Hartford II—heir to the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company—the 52-room Hartford wing expanded its guestrooms by 110 square feet, offering expansive terraces or balconies and providing ocean and garden views. Accommodations in the grand colonial manor are updated with custom furnishings and a locally inspired color palette including cerulean blues, aquamarine, and the bleached white of Bahamian sand. Guest baths feature new double vanities, along with separate bathtubs and rain showers. The Hartford Courtyard was also renovated as a relaxing lounge area.
Amenities include the multi-tiered Versailles Gardens event space, the signature One&Only Spa, sports, activities, and the NEO boutique retail outlet.
Jeffrey Beers International also recently completed a redesign at One&Only Ocean Club Palmilla in Cabo San Lucas.
