Palisociety has unveiled its sixth concept in Los Angeles. Housed within a former motel developed from the 1980s, the Silver Lake Pool & Inn is crafted by the collaboration of the Palisociety’s founder Avi Brosh, locally-based design firm Electric Bowery, and John Chaffetz, cofounder of the project’s developer, Timberlane Partners.
Drawing inspiration from the landscape of its namesake neighborhood while referencing Mexican modernism, the design is based on natural, handmade and vintage elements. Also channeled inside is the Old School Hollywood glamour through details like vintage-inspired neo signage, and a custom bar made of marble and wood, along with sunset hues conveying tranquility across the hotel’s public spaces.
The concept’s 54 sundrenched accommodations include queen, king, double queen, and double king configurations. Crafted with custom millwork, handmade Moroccan tiles, and terrazzo nightstands that convey a singular California ethos, all rooms feature vintage floor lamps, sconces, and fixtures installed alongside armchairs composed of leather and wood.
Flagstone flooring and handmade Moroccan and Italian tilework line tree-covered courtyards, cactus garden, and even stairways to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. Palisociety’s signature Italian eatery Marco Polo is also featured onsite, detailed with vintage mirrors and artwork, custom barstools, and locally crafted light fixtures.
