The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is set to reveal its first phase of an ongoing $620 million renovation later this month, including an updated casino floor, new F&B concepts, and a refreshed arrival experience.
The remodeled casino floor will show off new lighting as well as wood ceiling fixtures and vibrant flooring. Updated gaming tables and machines will be installed within the new High Limit Gaming Lounge, which will feature artwork from Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst, amongst others. The arrival experience will include updated landscaping such as lush palm trees and a 126-foot-tall digital marquee. The new VIP check-in lounge will be dressed in dark brown woods, vanilla onyx, and tufted leather seating.
New restaurants include Scotch 80 Prime steakhouse and Asian-fusion concept Send Noodles. The former Ghostbar will reopen as the Apex Social Club, framing 180-degree views across 8,000 square feet. The open-air boutique nightclub will be appointed with four humanoid sculptures from Dustin Yellin, while, adjacent to the main entrance, the Camden Cocktail Bar will also open. The onsite Brenden Theatres will reveal renovations with new tiered stadium seating, reclining leather seats, giant curved wall-to-wall screens, and IMAX screens.
All of the Fantasy Tower guestrooms, suites, and six Sky Villas will be fully renovated by the fall of this year. Los Angeles firm Avenue Interior Design will lead the guestroom and suite redesign, while New York-based Bentel & Bentel will transform the Sky Villas. Restaurants from chefs Michael Symon, Marc Vetri, and Bobby Flay are still to come, along with the debut of Vandal restaurant and nightclub from TAO Group in spring 2019.
