To commemorate its 10-year anniversary, the Park Hyatt Beijing has been reimagined by Singapore-based architecture practice LTW Designworks. The facelift updates the luxury hotel’s 246 guestrooms and suites, as well as its public spaces.
The redesign of the property pays homage to siheyuan, a traditional Chinese courtyard that serves as a hallmark of Beijing’s architecture. The original layout remains intact, while neutral tones complement warm timber furnishings. Bold, dynamic lines juxtapose hard stone furniture often found in traditional Chinese residences. Contrasting its subdued palette, interiors are clad with notes of green, yellow, orange, and red that channel tranquil gardens and koi fish, respectively.
