The Parq Vancouver is set to debut later this month as the largest private development in British Columbia. The LEED Gold property will house two luxury hotels—the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and the Douglas, an Autograph Collection Hotel.
The second-floor entrance will welcome guests with floor-to-ceiling windows and an introduction to its curated art collection. Encased in glass, a full-sized Douglas fir replica will anchor the lobby of the Douglas, which will house 178 guestrooms and 10 suites spread across floors seven through 17. Douglas accommodations will be designed by Vincent Celano and Rob Wells.
The JW Marriott Parq Vancouver—the first JW outpost in the region—will include designs from Toronto-based design practice Studio Munge. Floors six through 25 will accommodate the JW’s 281 guestrooms and 48 suites. A variety of gaming is installed across the second and third floors, which are flooded with sunlight via floor-to-ceiling windows. The space will be outfitted with 600 slot machines, 75 table games, a poker room, and 11 private gaming salons. The Park crowns the property on the sixth floor, spanning 30,000 square feet of outdoor space appointed with more than 200 native pines in homage to British Columbia. Thirteen ballrooms, boardrooms, and meeting rooms also comprise the property’s more-than-60,000 square feet of multifunctional space, including the 15,604-square-foot Parq Grand Ballroom.
