Pestana Hotel Group has planted its latest Spanish flag with the launch of the Pestana Plaza Mayor Madrid. Located in the heart of the Spanish capital, the hotel serves as a tribute to the Plaza Mayor’s 400-year history with interiors designed by local firm Estudio B76 that pay homage to the craftsmanship of Spanish artisans.
Home to 89 guestrooms and suites, the property comprises an old fire station as well as the Casa de la Carnicería, which was first constructed in the 17th century. The elegant interiors are balanced with contemporary details including a colorful medley of furnishings inspired by the palettes of the Impressionists. Crowned with an outdoor pool, the property rounds out its amenities with an onsite spa outfitted with an indoor pool, a fitness center, and traditional, vaulted brick ceilings. The signature restaurant RIB | Casa de la Carnicería | Beef & Wine is included among the F&B options in addition to the Cafeteria and the cocktail bar Coqueteleria, which evokes the flair of Madrid’s bohemian past.
