Rezidor Hotel Group will open its second Raddisson Blu hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in 2017.
“This project is in line with our long-term strategy to establish Radisson Blu as the premier upper-upscale brand in Africa with a strong network across selected economic hubs and capital cities across the continent,” says Elie Younes, Rezidor’s executive vice president and chief development officer.
Already under construction, the property is located near Addis Ababa Airport, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the Millennium Convention Center, and several embassies.
With interiors designed by Cape Town, South Africa-based Source IBA, the 165-key hotel will offer an all-day-dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, a lobby café, a business-class lounge, a fitness center, spa, and approximately 10,800 square feet of function space.
