Renaissance Hotels has debuted its sixth Parisian property, located in the La Republique neighborhood.
Drawing inspiration from the district’s bohemian spirit, the Renaissance Republique was crafted by interior designer Didier Gomez, whose work has been featured in projects for Yves Saint Laurent, LVMH, and De Beers. The use of exotic wood and dusky leather promotes a contemporary environment in both guestrooms and public spaces. Eclectic contemporary elements such as an African sculpture in the lobby, Asian furnishings, and local street art inject the space with a global sensibility, while natural motifs, such as cloud-shaped ceiling lights and wall vegetation on the outdoor terrace, add a playful touch.
“We designed Renaissance Republique with the local community in mind,” explains Gomez. “The hotel features a high-low design approach that harmoniously incorporates luxurious high-end finishes with raw, gritty, concrete surfaces. Bold, contemporary and locally inspired elements are infused into the various spaces of the hotel to captivate locals and guests and create moments of discovery.”
Mirroring the designs of local artist workshops, the 121 guestrooms bear earthen tones that complement both modern light fixtures and antique furniture. Included among the six guestroom categories is the penthouse suite, which includes a private terrace that boasts a Jacuzzi, an outdoor cinema, and views of Montemarte’s Sacré-CÅ“ur basilica
and northern Paris. Guests are also invited to enjoy the onsite Origin restaurant, the Martin bar, and Spa O.
