The Renaissance New York Times Square has unveiled the comprehensive overhaul of its 317 guestrooms and suites. Led by dash design, the chic renovations follow the previous overhaul of the property’s unique terrace suites.
Every aspect of each guestroom is a piece of art,” says dash design president David Ashen. “We created a local pied-à-terre for guests with a vision to capture the pulsating energy of Times Square while paying reference to Broadway’s theatrical roots.”
Dash design conceived the update in homage to the hotel’s historic Manhattan setting as well as the area’s evolution into a global theater hub. Cement gray tones recall the palette of the concrete jungle, while notes of white mirror traffic markings on the street blacktop. Yellow accents also echo the hue of New York taxis. Ombre window treatments in each accommodation are also conceived as frames through which to view Times Square beneath a matte canvas on the ceiling detailed with strokes of glossy, white feathers—a festive nod to the Great Whit
