Hoshino Resorts has announced the debut of Risonare Yatsugatake, a new wine-centric resort concept in Japan’s Yamanashi region. Tokyo-based architecture firm Klein Dytham oversaw the $14 million renovation, which saw the upgrade of its guestrooms and dining facilities.
Guestrooms are redesigned with bold colors, wine cork-inspired décor, and murals of the Yatsugatake mountains, while outdoor terraces provide serene natural views. The onsite eatery YY grill has also expanded, with walls decorated in grape murals and wine boxes complemented by a grape lattice motif across the ceiling.
Additional onsite amenities include the Vino Spa and the Otto Sette Restaurant, which is home to more than 2,500 bottles of wine.
