Maui’s Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua has debuted its refreshed one- and two-bedroom residences, part of a $25 million upgrade.
Upgrades from Honolulu-based studio Philpotts & Associates infuse the sophisticated spaces with a local flare. Décor draws influence from the tropical setting, conveying earthy tones reminiscent of island mountains and forests. Woods and deep green, grown, and cream tones warm the living spaces, while pieces from local artisans are inspired by the island. Improved kitchens boast a full selection of china, glassware, cutlery, cookware, and appliances.
New lounge furniture has also been added to the 20,000-square-foot pool deck and updated equipment in the fitness center, and the lobby offers a newly enhanced lanai experience with firepits and casual lounge seating. Canopied by coconut palm trees, the relaxed beachfront eatery the Burger Shack also opened this spring.
