Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has been appointed by financial consulting firm Aldesa to manage Rosewood Papagayo, a resort in Costa Rica scheduled to open 2019. Located in the Guanacaste province on a hillside that leads to a beach, the resort is designed and built by Dallas-based HKS, and features 180 accommodations including 130 guestrooms and 50 residences.Â
The design utilizes indigenous materials and locally sourced artwork. The accommodations make the most of the natural surroundings, and include open-air living rooms, large terraces, and plunge pools. Seven suites are two-story tree houses.
Amenities include direct beach access, as well as a fitness center and the brand’s signature Sense, a Rosewood Spa. Dining options include a poolside bar and grill, a restaurant offering informal all-day dining, and a bar and a specialty restaurant.  The resort also features 11,840 square feet of event space, including a ballroom with a large outdoor terrace.
