The Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the Virgin Islands has closed its doors to undergo an 18-month revitalization, the resort’s most significant overhaul since it was founded more than 50 years ago by Laurance S. Rockefeller. The complete revamp will include guestrooms and suites as well as the three onsite restaurants.
New lighting and signage will enhance guests’ arrival experience as part of property-wide landscaping improvements by Landscape Contractors and Design. The resort’s Beach Grill will be rebuilt with an open kitchen concept, while the Pavilion and Sugar Mill restaurants’ indoor-outdoor dining areas will be expanded.
New York-based Meyer Davis Studio is spearheading the renovation and design concept, along with Miami-based architecture studio OBMI, which will handle the construction of the new Beach Grill structure and the remodeling of guestrooms and signature suites.
The resort is expected to reopen in 2017.
