The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona has unveiled its facelift, following two years and three phases.
The 12 Spa Casitas, which surround the resort’s infinity-edge pool and spa, have been upgraded by Phoenix-based designer Lynne Beyer and architect R. Nicholas Loope with new upholstered beds, nightstands and tables, and outdoor patio furniture. Spacious bathrooms show off double sinks, separate tubs and showers, and walk-in closets. Lighting, artwork, rugs, and bathroom drapes have also been replaced.
The resort’s 12 Spa Suites—also revamped by Beyer and Loope—have received indoor-outdoor upgrades including new glass rock fireplaces, sleeper sectionals, dining tables, fresh upholstery, and living room rugs. Built-in shelves have been removed from master bedrooms for a more streamlined look and have been replaced with new furnishings. Newly refreshed with teak decking and privacy screens, patios are now adorned with canopy-clad daybeds and oversized soaking tubs. Both Spa Casitas and Suites have been upgraded with a new Deco-style palette, punctuated with planter bowls, entryway mirrors, and fresh cabinetry.
The renovation saw the introduction of the Spa House last spring. Crafted by locally based designer Judith Testani in collaboration with Phoenix firm MoD a+p, the four-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot space houses a treatment room, movement studio, and open home-style design. Testani and MoD a+p also teamed up on the design for the four new 875-square-foot Terrace suites.
