Nakash Holdings has announced plans to launch a third Setai hotel property in early 2018, this one in Tel Aviv. Located in the historic Jaffa region of the city, the Setai, Tel Aviv will merge old and new design sensibilities with an atmosphere crafted by London-based firm Ara Design.
Guests will be welcomed in the reception area by vaulted ceilings and a doorway clad with Turkish ottoman calligraphy. Modern seating and furnishings will be installed alongside ornate carpeting to amplify the aesthetic within the lobby lounge area, which will be home to a full bar surrounded by reclaimed timber sourced from the building’s original roof. Lacquered walls and grand chandeliers will also showcase historic architectural detailing.
Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences will be reflected in the contemporary design, which will also be balanced with antiquity in elements such as Arabic wall patterns embedded in rugs and bed details. The outer walls of most guestrooms will feature original stonework, while oak furnishings and leather panels will make contemporary statements. Bathrooms will be separated from guestrooms via an electric LED glass partition to inspire meditation.
Views of the city will be framed from several courtyards and four levels of glass-paneled terraces. Subterranean amenities will include five roomy event halls, a spa, and Turkish Hammam.
