Shenandoah Mansions—a 73-key hotel from hospitality company Ash—will open its doors this fall in Richmond, Virginia.
Occupying a six-story historic apartment building in the city’s Fan district, the forthcoming concept will maintain the storied residence’s red brick exterior and feature a retail space as well as the third location of Ash–Bar, the brand’s all-day restaurant designed in a refined-yet-unfussy tavern style.
Across from the restaurant will be the lobby lounge, with comfortable upholstered seating upholstered and a small bar serving coffee and cocktails.
Guestrooms at Shenandoah Mansions will be bright and airy, furnished with grand four-poster beds bedecked with gemstone-colored drapery, antique furniture imported from Europe, and mahogany dressers. The bathrooms, meanwhile, will be crafted with custom-painted blue delft-style tiles.
Shenandoah Mansions will be the fifth property in Ash’s portfolio, which includes Hotel Peter & Paul in New Orleans and Ulysses in Baltimore.
