Sir Hotels is set to grow its international footprint with the launch of the Sir Victor this June in Barcelona. The property will be housed within a former design-driven hotel previously crafted by Catalan architecture firm Capella Garcia.
Sir Victor will retain the site’s original undulating façade, while longtime collaborator, Tel Aviv-based interior design firm Baranowitz + Kronenberg will oversee the redesign of the ground floor, drawing inspiration from the urban topography of Barcelona as well as the mountains and sea. Beyond the sundrenched entryway and street-level retail, various public spaces will don a darkened palette in homage to the earthen tones of Mount Sant Llorenç Natural Park. The Mr Porter steakhouse, lounge, and bar will be concealed behind the lobby, crafted to honor the structure’s roots as a vibrant social hub. The multifunctional club will be installed on floor below to host private events and meetings.
Conceived by the Sir Hotels in-house design team, all 91 guestrooms and suites will occupy the floors above the onsite spa and fitness center, the flexible library space, and meeting spaces. A rooftop cocktail bar and lounge will be punctuated with playful textiles and lush greenery atop the hotel.
