Six AC Hotels by Marriott will launch this year with designs from DLR Group’s hospitality studio. The firm first partnered with AC Hotels for the design of the AC Hotel by Marriott Westport in Kansas City, and has gone on to design 12 branded properties in urban locations throughout the U.S., including its most recent endeavor in Silicon Valley. The brand’s first West Coast property, the AC Hotel by Marriott San Jose Downtown was crafted in collaboration with TPG. The LEED Gold-certified hotel is equipped with architectural louver sunshades and light harvesting technology.
The firm recently completed work on the AC Hotel Raleigh North Hills in North Carolina. The property includes a sky lobby and amenity floor, using its top level as the focal point of the design.
