The Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City has begun work on a $4.3 million renovation to all public spaces and each of its 225 guestrooms. The landmark property previously underwent a $55 million update in 2007. Deerfield, Illinois-based architecture firm Knauer will redesign the property, owned and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
Upgrades to the hotel lobby include additional natural light to draw focus to the historic architecture. Granite and marble flooring as well as new wallcoverings will reflect the hotel’s original gothic design when it launched in 1911.
The popular Red Piano Lounge’s fresh new look complements its laidback style with new floors, seating, tables, and a signature red piano that will be unveiled next month.
