Soho Warehouse has debuted in downtown Los Angeles as the latest concept from Soho House Co, as well as its third West Coast property and the largest one in North America so far. Crafted for comfort with the east side community in mind, the new outpost occupies a seven-story former warehouse first constructed in 1916.
With a design spearheaded by the brand’s U.S. design director Candance Campos, the new space keeps the original elements of the building, from exposed brick walls and graffiti, evoking authenticity while reflecting the residential qualities of Downtown LA through 1970s-style furnishings. The new outpost also offers 48 onsite accommodations in total, each boasting high ceilings and a mix of both custom-made, vintage, and found details.
One of its key onsite F&B concepts is the signature House Kitchen, equipped with wraparound banquette seating and vintage tables. The 20-stool Club Bar hosts convivial refreshments against a 30-foot rainbow mosaic stone bar, while the Sitting Room provides a vintage setting for meetings with its extension, the Drawing Room, offering a full-bar and metallic-glazed fireplace. The new Soho House spot also hosts a Mediterranean concept, Garden, on the ground floor, and a rooftop lounge featuring a mural artwork from the local street artist Shepard Fairey.
