Aparium Hotel Group has announced that it will launch the St. Jane Chicago hotel within the city’s Carbide & Carbon building in spring 2018. Locally based practices Simeone Deary Design Group and Booth Hansen will collaborate on the reconfiguration of the Art Deco structure, which was originally built in 1929.
Named after Nobel Peace Prize winner and Chicago native Jane Addams, the downtown property will house 363 rooms appointed with handsome furniture and framed views of the skyline. Thirty-three suites will be spread across floors 25 and up. Guestrooms will feature artwork from Chicago artists and beyond.
In addition to the 24th floor lounge, the hotel will be home to a slew of F&B concepts, including a full-service restaurant, market café, cocktail bar, and 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
