The Stayton Room inside New York’s Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection has been restored to its luxe splendor at the hand of locally based architecture firm Stonehill Taylor. Drawing inspiration from the days of Prohibition through the Roaring Twenties, the bar and lounge reinterprets the history of New York style through a contemporary lens.
“The jeweled tones and elegant design details are meant to be a transformative experience for all guests,” says Abby Bullard of Stonehill Taylor. “Each design element was inspired by the 1920’s jazz age & art deco details of the Lexington Hotel architecture.”
Art Deco-style luxury serves as the backdrop for lush velvet seating with vibrant jewel tones. Quirky molten copper sconces line the walls and columns, while geometric brass and orb pendants are suspended above the Stayton Room’s lobby entrance.
