The La Serena Villas in Palm Springs has opened on the site of two historic city properties including the former Del Marcos Hotel. Rebuilt and modeled to resemble its original 1933 design, the hotel showcases a modern aesthetic crafted by Los Angeles-based Avenue Interior Design and May Sung of Subu Design Architecture.
Embracing the San Jacinto Mountains as a backdrop, all 18 secluded villas include handpicked furniture and feature a private patio, firepit, cast iron claw foot tubs, and built-in benches.
Opening in April, the indoor-outdoor restaurant Azucar will include a full bar, lounge, and dining room. Rooftop concept Sugar High will open as well, optimal for event space. The Whispers Spa is also onsite.
