The Clancy, the newest entry in Marriott’s Autograph Collection, has debuted in San Francisco. Located in the heart of the city’s South of Market district, the new boutique property features a $30 million design from Dallas-based Premier Project Management, which collaborated with locally based design and architecture firms EDG Design and AXIS.
The project draws inspiration from San Francisco’s winding back roads and mid-block alleyways. The local influence is further perpetuated through elements like the Lotline, an interior alleyway just beyond the entryway. A bold minimalism is accented with tech-infused details that reference the collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit of the Bay Area. Unique light fixtures, patterned walls, and a variety of public art installations also position the boutique hotel’s aesthetic well within the ethos of the Autograph Collection.
F&B options include a coffee bar and workspace that transitions into a cultural hub during the evening. The street-facing Seven Square Restaurant comprises a taproom concept, while Parklet 299 serves as an interior courtyard venue.
