A historic structure in the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia has been reborn as the Drayton Hotel. The new 50-room hotel welcomes guests with its original 19th century façade, restored as part of an overhaul led by owner Raghav Sapra in collaboration with New York-based design firm nemaworkshop.
A squared layout references the city’s 22 park-like green squares, while herringbone brick floors pay homage to Savannah’s cobblestone streets. Oak paneling, whitewashed beadboard, and a full-length wall composed of handwoven rattan panels complement the building’s original Victorian-style architecture. Layered décor and furnishings further illustrate the storied legacy of the site. Saint Neo’s Brasserie serves as the onsite seafood concept, while the Drayton Coffee Bar and a cocktail lounge round out the hotel’s F&B options. An intimate drawing room is also located just beyond the lobby, adorned with artwork from local muralist Bob Christian.
Private and semi-private indoor-outdoor events spaces are featured as well. The rooftop venue crowns the hotel with a space set against a backdrop of natural and city views.
