Following an eight-year run as the Regent Palms Turks and Caicos, the Hartling Group has rebranded the hotel, which will once again operate as the boutique Palms Turks and Caicos hotel.
“Our guests crave a boutique hotel experience,” says Stan Hartling, CEO of the Hartling Group and owner of the Palms, which he developed and opened in 2005. “We have created a wealth of programs and amenities that speak to this, and we are dedicated to continuing our investment at the Palms. Last year was our best year ever, with 24 percent growth over the previous year, and we see this upward trend continuing.”
Located on the islands’ Grace Bay Beach, the 72-suite resort and spa also recently revealed a $3.5 million revamp in celebration of its 10th anniversary. The project saw updates to all accommodations along with the addition of several new F&B outlets.
When constructed, the hotel channeled the designs of Oliver Messel, a 20th century English artist known for his work featuring island-inspired architecture during the 1960s. The Palms Turks and Caicos hotel pays homage to these designs with Barbadian coral stone elements throughout its open-concept layout, which includes five buildings forming a semi-circle around an infinity pool.
