The Hoxton brand is continuing its U.S. expansion with the upcoming debut of the Hoxton, Portland in Oregon later this month. The company’s London-based in-house design studio Ennismore Design Studio will craft the interiors of the hotel, which is housed within an early-20th-century building in the city’s historic Old Town Chinatown neighborhood.
The 119 guestrooms will reflect the design influence of the 1960s North-West modernist movement. Elements like rich walnut paneling and décor will further accentuate the midcentury aesthetic. Spread across four configurations, each accommodation will feature floor-to-ceiling windows that frame city views.
The hotel will also be home to vibrant public spaces, including two restaurants and a cocktail bar. Featured among the onsite F&B options, which will be designed in collaboration with London- and Los Angeles-based studio Fettle Design, the all-day eatery La Neta will open on the ground floor alongside the coffee bar. The taqueria concept Tope will debut on the rooftop, while the clandestine basement bar will feature American-Chinese offerings.
