Comprehensive multi-phase renovations have wrapped at Tampa Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida, following 18 months of updates by New York- based practice the Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry, in collaboration with Looney & Associates on its 727 guestrooms and suites. Positioned as a key fixture of the nine million-square-foot mixed-use Water Street Tampa complex, all accommodations are crafted in a luxe-minimalist style with nautical accents of blue and gray echoing the breezy setting, along with versatile furnishings and allergy-friendly textured flooring.
Created in partnership with Richard Sandoval Hospitality, the property’s culinary overhaul consists of the 134-seat gastropub Garrison Tavern, and the indoor-outdoor seafood concept, Anchor and Brine which references its waterfront setting with a palette of palette of blue and green, blended with hues of citrus.
The new property also accommodates more than 40,000 square feet of updated meeting and event spaces with access to the adjacent Tampa Convention Center, in addition to the 7,160-square-foot Grand Ballroom serving as the centerpiece of its many onsite event spaces.
